What is a "waste core"? For those of you using Cocon's Sette Pieghe for the first time, we will show you how to use it.
To all first-time users of Cocon Sette Pieghe
Important pre-use instructions
Cocon's sette pieghe ties are specially designed to reach our customers in pristine condition.
This is thanks to a removable interlining called "disposable interlining." This is a unique Cocon specification included to prevent "marks" (creases in the fabric) or loss of shape on the tie's surface during transportation or storage.

The image shows the disposable interlining that is actually used.
This disposable interlining is called "sun-bell interlining," and because of its good compatibility with fabric, it is originally an interlining used in combination with high-grade tie hair interlining. However, we intentionally use it solely for the protection of the tie.
Before using, you must first remove the disposable interlining by following these steps.
First, locate the white basting stitch in the middle of the tie (at the diagonal seam).
Next, slowly pull this thread to release the black disposable interlining inside the tie.

Finally, gently and carefully pull out the black interlining visible on the back of the blade.

This interlining is only "temporary" and is not needed for use. By removing the interlining, the tie's inherent soft drape is unleashed, and it finally "comes to life."
This small effort transforms Cocon's sette pieghe into a special tie.
Please enjoy this moment, which is like a careful ritual.
