Important steps before use
Cocon's sette pieghe ties are specially crafted to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
This is a removable interlining called "disposable interlining." This is a unique feature of Cocon that is used to prevent the tie from losing its shape or developing "atari" (pressed marks on the fabric) on the surface during transportation or storage.
To get started, follow the steps below.
-
Find the white basting thread in the middle of the tie (the diagonal seam).
-
Slowly pulling out this thread will release the black interlining inside the tie.
-
Gently and carefully pull out the black interlining.
This interlining is only temporary and is not necessary for the actual use of the tie. By removing the interlining, the tie's inherent softness is released, and it finally comes to life.
This extra step makes Cocon's sette pieghe a special piece.
Please enjoy this time, which feels like a careful ritual.
