"Sankan" - The hidden craftsmanship on the back of a necktie
Cocon's Sette Pieghe ties are handcrafted by artisans.
A single piece of fabric is folded many times to create beautiful dimension and suppleness without relying on interlining.
This is the true essence of Sette Pieghe.
Looking at the back, the edges of the fabric are carefully folded using a technique called "mitsumaki" (three-fold hem).
In fact, each stitch is sewn by hand.

The slight "undulation" and warmth that can never be expressed by a sewing machine.
There, the evidence of human hands quietly resides.
Furthermore, the fabric used by Cocon is ultra-high-density silk fabric, like a刻々(kokkoku-time).
Therefore, compared to normal fabrics, it requires considerable force just to pass a needle through it.
We are truly grateful to the artisans who undertake this laborious work by hand.

Beauty and durability over efficiency.
A reliable feel over speed.
No compromises in the inconspicuous parts.
Cocon's craftsmanship is born from this attitude.
